Order Cancellations and Alterations

If you wish to cancel or alter an order please contact us as soon as possible so we deal with it before the order is dispatched. If the order has already been shipped before we are contacted we will have to treat it as a return.

 

Returns

The customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

Many of our products are bespoke and bought in especially for you. We are not a big company or corporation, we are a small independent with an aim to get you access to the right equipment for you. Many of our items are not stocked by major retailers, not available in large stores and are specifically made and designed for Roller Derby.

Unfortunately the following items can NOT be returned or exchanged
  • Custom boots (this includes custom colours, widths, sizes, etc).
  • Custom skate packages (skates for which you have selected the components separately and had mounted by The Manchester Skate shop or elsewhere).
  • Special order items.
  • Non-stock items (items delivered to you direct from our suppliers).
  • Items that state in the product description that they may not be returned nor exchanged.
  • Sale, clearance, and closeout items.
  • Used/worn skates.

If  there is a manufacturing fault that has been accepted by the manufacturer or distributor on any of the above items, we may be able to exchange. (Please also note that handmade boots may have slight variances in them—this is totally normal and nothing to be concerned about.)

If you are unsure if your purchase will be return-able please contact us in advance to find out.

Damaged/Faulty Products

We will replace the damaged/faulty item or refund your money, but we must receive the damaged/faulty item back before store credit, exchange, or refund is issued.
The Manchester Skate Shop is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged or delayed by any mail carrier service.

Incorrect Orders

We do our best to get orders right but every once in a while errors occur. If we sent you the wrong size, sorry, this is our fault! Just let us know and we will cover the shipping cost and get you the right item, as soon as we receive the incorrect item from you.

We make every effort to ensure the descriptions and photographs we give are a fair representation of the products we sell. However due to inconsistencies in the manufacturing of some products, and because the colours on our website may vary slightly depending on how your monitor is calibrated, we cannot guarantee that the product you receive will always look exactly the same as they do on the computer screen.

If you order the wrong size in a stock boot, skate or protective gear, you are responsible for shipping. We will exchange items that do not fit properly, but they must be unworn and in brand-new condition, with all original packaging. Any items returned not in perfect, new on-the-shelf condition will be returned to you at your expense.

 

Plate Mounting

We take great care when mounting plates and our trusted partners have a wealth of experience.
However, please understand that this service requires us to use numerous tools and may result in the occasional scratch to the plate. By asking us to mount the plate, you are agree that you understand and agree that your plates may become slightly scratched.
